Virat changed his lifestyle in 2012 – he was off gluten, desserts and anything cold. He began training but the diet took its toll at the beginning. He craved everything but when he saw the results, he vowed to never go back to his previous lifestyle again.
In 2015, he changed his training again – He started lifting, snatching, cleaning and dead lifting.
His lifestyle and workout change has not just helped him with his exceptional batting skills, but now he is better at running between wickets. His speed and agility also helps him as a fielder. His stamina is higher and he is more focused.

Virat Kohli’s workout routine
Whenever at home, he goes to the gym five days a week and works out for at least two hours. He really believes in the “eat, sleep, train, repeat” routine. He even makes time for exercise on tour!
During the season, he works out for an hour and a half, but off season, he combines two sessions, making it a 4 hours of workout!
His says his metabolism has a lot to do with his gym schedule.
2. Workout plan
His workout routine is a combination of weights and cardio exercises.
In an interview, Virat once said, “I don’t do upper body. I only work on my legs for explosive power. He makes me do a crazy number of squats, close to a 100 in a session.”
3. Tech-savvy workouts
Virat is not over and above using tech to improve his workout. He usually workouts with a high altitude mask that not only improves efficiency but also conditions lungs that leads to an improvement in stamina.
