Almost every bride I’ve known has put herself on some kind of special consumption plan in preparation for the big day. Although weight loss is often the goal, it’s by no means the only reason both brides and grooms ought to eat well on their path to the altar.
As a long-time foodies, I was not even remotely concerned regarding fitting into my dress. It fit fantastically, and I expect it’ll fit now next year as well.
My biggest concern leading up to the big day was stress management. After one of the various inevitable disasters that came up as the wedding approached, I noticed that none of the items I was worried about really mattered. The day would come, the guests would arrive, my husband and I would be there and the wedding would happen. Those were the important things that will happen regardless, and I might choose whether or not I wished to worry regarding the main points. I made a decision to not, and it was completely liberating.
