Mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts that stay never-ending. Spirituality regards thoughts as being only the results of karma, our own actions of the previous births. Thus, mind carries plenty of the recollections of the past and these give rise to varied emotions, some sensible and many otherwise. Such negative emotions is termed as the impurities that contaminate the mind and cause inappropriate thoughts and actions, the consequences of that get carried forward as sins. Anger, desire, pride, jealousy, meanness, avarice, illusion etc. are the impurities that seize the mind and provoke it towards sin. Thus, it’s these impurities of the mind that remain as the reason for all our miseries. Releasing the mind of those impurities and keeping it clean is the only means of accomplishing peace and happiness in life.
